I have a local file consisting of html and vbscript statements. When I attempt to open it in Firefox nothing happens. Firefox sits on a blank screen indefinately. This file opens and functions properly in IE 7. Function is to perform db lookups in Access/SQL Server DBs and launch Crystal Report with retrieved information.

Firefox does not handle vbscript. To my knowledge, Internet Explorer is the only browser that does handle vbscript.

finitarry, does Firefox handle javascript? I can rewrite the function I need in Java if that stands a chance of working.

Thanks for the previous reply.

Firefox does handle javascript. You can make sure that it is enabled by looking in Options > Content.
