How do I use Firefox to eliminate viruses on my computer?
Dear Support:
I just recently upgraded my browser from Internet Explorer 7 to Internet Explorer 8. I'm using Microsoft Windows XP. I cannot upgrade my current antivirus protection which is why I was told to use Firefox instead to eliminate all viruses backed up on my computer.
The viruses are multiplying every day & I do NOT want my computer to crash because of viruses, trojans, worms & other unknown threats to my PC. Please tell me how to use Firefox for this reason before it is too late. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you & have a nice day.
Sincerely,
A. Hawkins Firefox User

Firefox is just a web browser regardless of whether it is running on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux or some other OS. It does not have a firewall or antivirus scanner or such thing built in. It is however not vulnerable to trojans and viruses like IE can be and it uses Cache which is not vulnerable like IE temp files.
