The bookmarks button is missing from the navigation toolbar. It appears when I right click on the navigation and click customize. As soon as I close the customization window it disappears again. I can no longer access the library to back up my bookmarks. Why did you change it from Firefox 3 where you could clock on the bookmarks tab and be able to backup your bookmarks?

You only see that Bookmarks Menu button if the menu bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > [] Menu Bar). If the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible then that button is shown on that toolbar.

I tried hiding the menu bar and it did not work. The Navigation tool bar is NOT hidden. There is nothing next to the "Home" button in the Navigation toolbar. Look at the upper right hand corner of the images. When the customize toolbar box is open the bookmarks button is there, when I close it, it disappears. I am unable to access the bookmarks library to backup my bookmarks. Any ideas or workarounds?

In your 2nd screenshot, the correct Bookmarks button is missing from the Navigation Toolbar. Have you scrolled downward in the Customize Palette to look for that button? It looks like the blue Bookmarks button that appears to the right of the History button in the Palette, but the one you need has a little drop-mark arrow to the right of the white star. When you find that button, drag it back to the right-side of the Navigation Bar, to the right of the Home button. (Yep, it can be a bit confusing with two almost identical Bookmarks buttons for the UI.)

When the Bookmarks Toolbar is showing (and the Menu Bar is hidden), the Bookmarks button appears on the Bookmarks Toolbar. When you hide the Bookmarks Toolbar, the Bookmarks button is supposed to appear on the Navigation Bar.

Look closely at the second photo. The bookmark button does have the arrow. I lave also tried to close the bookmarks toolbar (by unchecking it in the drop down box) and it is still not there once I close the customize toolbar window.

Whoops, been looking at the screen for too many hours.

That button moves to the Bookmarks Toolbar when you close the Customize mode, but you can't see it due to the >> overflow. Try shortening the name the Mikes Hobby Talk bookmark - right-click and open Properties for that bookmark.

If you de-select the Bookmarks Toolbar, that Bookmarks button should stay on the the Navigation Toolbar. It is intended to work in that manner, as I mentioned above.

Actually the Bookmarks Menu button doesn't appear because you have the Menu Bar visible in your first screenshot. The Bookmarks Menu button should appear to the right of the overflow chevron on the Bookmarks Toolbar if the Menu Bar is hidden.

OK menu bar hidden as you instructed and it is still not there (See attached photo).

It's on the Bookmarks Toolbar, directly under the Home button, to the right of the >> (chevron) - as it should be when the Bookmarks Toolbar is displayed and the Menu Bar is hidden.
