Since the 3.6.23 update, I can't open new Tabs manually, but apps can. What happened?

If I click on the new-Tab "+" nothing happens. If I select New Tab from the File menu or type Ctrl-T, nothing happens. But apps opening new windows (in prefs, I ask they open new windows as Tabs), new Tabs appear as usual. I've checked my Options, nothing seems to preclude manually opening new Tabs, so I'm at a loss.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbTRL2/3.12.2.16749

Thanks! Removing the Trillian toolbar (I'd glossed over the fact it was Ask.com) did the trick, and I can open tabs with my usual abandon.
