I just signed up with U-verse, which is my carrier, to increase my internet speed from 12 to 18. Where, on my pc, can I go to confirm that this change has been made? In other words, where is the internet speed shown on my computer? I have an HP desktop pc approx. 6 years old.

I don't really have to go to another website as I understand it. There should be a place on my computer that registers the speed of my internet. I've looked under "My Computer" and under "Control" but didn't find it. I know it's a simple thing, but I have just forgotten where to look for it on my computer. Thanks for responding though.
