Both my imac using OS Leopard and my MacBook Pro Laptop, using OS Lion, have lost the icons for each of my sites in the bookmarks menu. Some are showing blank boxes and some are only blank spaces.

Icons missing in the Bookmarks menu

Icons (favicons) for bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu may be missing after updating to Firefox 9. To restore them:

In the Location bar, type about:config and press Return.
The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
In the filter section type, image.mem.decodeondraw
Double-click the entry that results to change it's value to "False"

   Close the tab

Quit and Restart
