I have made the changes to internet options to remember user names and passwords, but they don't save. Went to "help" . They said clicking on outside of pass word prompt will hide it and to click on the "key" to bring it back. The key is not there, the user names are not saved, passwords are not saved, .....How do I get user names and passwords to be saved and show when i open those programs? Dave

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
