I have purchased a new computer. My current machine is an XP and the new one will be Windows 7. How do I "transfer" my login(s) and passwords from the old to the new computer?

I believe I simply download Firefox on the new machine. But then how do I get my login and password data on to the new machine?

Your old Profile is located here in Win XP and W2K:
drive:\Documents and Settings\Windows login user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile_name

As the-edmeister has noted and from the link: you would have to copy the key3.db + signons.sqlite to the corresponding Firefox Profile folder structure in the new PC after starting Firefox at least once.
