Does Firefox incorporate an anti-virus program or must I download one?

The Web site says "Firefox integrates elegantly with your Windows anti-virus software. When you download a file, your computer’s anti-virus program automatically checks it to protect you against viruses and other malware" MY windows anti-virus software? I have been using IE9 built-in anti-virus software. Now that I've switched to FF, what should I do? Thanks, Al

Thank you. I've checked on line for an anti-virus program and have decided on AVG. However, it appears that Microsoft Security Essentials is still working and FF uses it. Is this correct? If I decide to switch to AVG, do I need to uninstall Microsoft Sec Essentials? Thanks for your help, Al
