control-f hot key does not open the find bar
nor does the 'find' option in the edit drop down menu. Keying on the screen immediately open the toolbar and it functions correctly. I've noticed this for several versions on Win 7.

Have you tried to start Firefox up in Safe mode to see if it is an extension causing the issue? If it works in Safe Mode, you can start Firefox up in regular mode, go to "about:addons" in the address bar (without quotes) and disable your add-ons one by one until you find the trouble maker.

It is possible that the screen is too high and that the scroll bar and the find bar and add-on bar fall off at the bottom.
- Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
- Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

Tylerdowner: Thank you. I went through the process and determined that "IE Tab" caused the problem. I reported the issue to amo-editors@mozilla.org and also noted that the addon's home page fails to load. A secondary issue was that the bar appear below the lowest toolbar on the screen rather than above as it does now.
cor-el: Thank you also but your wording is very confusing. It would be clearer to say "The screen display is too tall for the window and thus part of the display is lost. Resize the display by..."
