does "CLEAR RECENT HISTORY" remove it completely from the hard drive ?????

I simply want to know if when i am done browsing for the day i can go to "clear recent history" -------(which is set up to clear recent history by day)-----------------and when i activate the "CLEAR RECENT HISTORY" , it clears it from the HARD DRIVE???----------IN other words NOONE at any time in the future can access this days browsing.

Yes it does clear all your browsing from the hard drive. However, why not use private browsing? Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history
