My laptop is running Windows 7. When I click the installer it gives me a pop-up asking to run as Administrator/current user. I only have 1 profile/user on this system. When I input my username & password, nothing happens.

Is that an UAC prompt?

Try to run the Firefox installer as Administrator (right-click firefox.exe: Run as Administrator).

You may need to disable your anti-virus software temporarily if you keep having problems.
