On the right-click menu, Forward refers to going forward in your page history. It will be grayed out unless you have used Back. Basically, it's like the arrow pointing to the right that may appear at the beginning of the address bar.

To Email someone a link to an article, you can use:

  • orange Firefox button > Email Link...
  • File menu > Email Link...

To connect this feature with your email, check out this article: Change the program used to open email links. Note that Firefox doesn't include all different mail sites when you install it. Sometimes you need to add new sites. Please mention which site you're using if yours isn't listed.

Note that you should also update Java to the latest version.

You can find the latest Java version on the Oracle website.

See Java Platform > Java SE 7U45 (JRE Download)

I did the Java update, no help. I would like to right click on an article and be able to g-mail it. When I right click that is not an option.

Firefox's doesn't have a built-in way to add new choices to the right-click context menu. Can you use the menu choices described in my earlier post? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/976511#answer-498350
