I had to erase my mac and revert back to an older operating system. I was using Time Machine to back up my computer, so I thought it would back up my Firefox bookmarks file as well. I reinstalled Firefox, but I can't seem to find the file anywhere. I checked in this location Library/Application Support/Mozilla

I also have a Sync account, but can't find my recovery key and I no longer have access to the other computer that it was synced to.

Any ideas on how I can get my bookmarks back?

Thanks for your help, but I was able to solve my problem. I restored my computer using Time Machine and my bookmarks came back. I couldn't find the actual file on my Time Machine hard drive because it was in a hidden folder.

Did you find the Firefox profile folder in the Time Machine backup?

The bookmarks are either in the places.sqlite file or as a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
