When I close down for the day, Firefox closes all of my tabs and doesn't reopen them at startup. I get a message asking if I want to close all tabs. How to make firefox keep my tabs? I have Windows 7 if that is of any help. And I am running Firefox v 26.0.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear the Browsing History

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

Maybe you can try to restore previous session from history --> Restore previous session. Further details are explained in this article of the knowledge base: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-previous-session

Hope this helps.
