Wondering if there is a way to use microsoft exchange server for e-mail (my university recently switched). Up until now I have been using Exquilla, but my license has expired. Due to this I am temporarily using outlook (eww!)... but I highly prefer Thunderbird so I'd like to switch back. Is there a way to use thunderbird to contact the exchange server without an addon such as Exquilla? If not is this a possible feature of future versions?

Chosen solution

If enabled on the server, you can use the standard protocols POP, IMAP, and SMTP.
