All of a sudden, on MAC, pop up ads everywhere and on every site

On a Mac, and every website I go to I get pop up ads or a new page pops up. Also, the websites are making room for ads and are creating links throughout the webpage. Have used Mac and Firefox for years and never had this problem before. Installed AdBlock Plus and it has not helped.

hello, this is probably caused by a malicious extension - please try to reset firefox and see if this can address the issue...
