I click the scroll bar on the right of the browser and instead of going up or down a little it rolls continuously to the top or bottom of the page. I try clicking to stop it but nothing works until it rolls to stop way past where I wanted to go. How do I correct this?

Does this happen on every page?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
