App ribbon blocks bottom of working screen.

The ribbon at the bottom of the screen with the logos for the various programs usually drops so I can see the full screen but for gmail and whatsapp it stays up so I cannot see the send button in Gmail of the write box in Whatsapp. Any ideas?

Hi pjdriv, if you set the Windows Taskbar to auto-hide, I believe that usually kicks in when you move your cursor away from it. I don' t know what might cause it to stay visible in some cases. It's very strange that it would be linked to particular websites, or maybe other sites also are affected but in those cases it's tolerable because the bar doesn't hide any important controls.

Does it make any difference if you switch between windows (Alt+Tab to switch to the previously active window, Alt+Tab to switch back again)?

Thanks for your quick reply. I am afraid it did not solve the problem but I have been able to bye-pass it by makings the buttons small so the write box and send button are now visible. I forgot to mention that the task bar flips down and then comes straight back up again, just a wink. Thank you.

Hi Patrick, I guess another workaround would be to temporarily switch the Firefox window to resizable instead of maximized so you can control its height.
