Cannot access web at all from browsers. Automatic upgrade to 3.6.12 took place, and then asked for reboot. I shut down pc. Next time I switched PC on, not web access with both IE and Firefox. I have email access and can ping all websites in cmd, both by ip address and dns name. So ISP is fine.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

I already tried that. Removed all firewall rules. Disabled anti virus and everything else that is running. Cleared histories as per issues with Content Encoding Error an still not able to connect to the web.
