bookmarks vanished. Unable to restore from backups. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Unable to import from IE or from html file exported from IE. What now?
My Bookmarks toolbar reports 'empty'. In my profile where previous dated bookmarks but would no restore from any. Unable to import from IE or from html file exported from IE. Appears to work - importing from IE reports import successful but still empty. Imports from html file completes without any error or other message but bookmarks still empty. Firefox uninstalled and 3.6 reinstalled but all as above.

Thank you. Renamed .sqlite files after shutting down firefox. Was then able to restore from backups. Prior to this, restore attempts failed with message "Unable to process file"
