Thunderbird on startup now checks both profile location and last version started, and if there is a mismatch you will get this warning to prevent potential issues.

Start Thunderbird on Windows with

thunderbird.exe -P --allow-downgrade

and then after than you can start normal

That resolved the issue. How should I have looked for this?

Thanks!
