I believe the question being asked is, "Where does Firefox store an image that I have right clicked and selected 'Set As Desktop Background...'"

I haven't changed my background in over a year, and I'm using Windows XP, so this might not be true for newer versions of Firefox or Windows, but I found my background image under "C:\Documents and Settings\Current User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Desktop Background.bmp". Of course, replace Current User with your Windows login name.

Firefox saves downloads to wherever you specify. Check your settings in Tools > Options > General, Download section. If you have it set to "Always ask me where to save files", then only you know where they were saved. See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window+-+General+panel

Other Issues: ~~red:You have installed plug-ins with known security issues. You should update them immediately.~~

Thanks. But I was referring to images set as desktop background. That just saves it to where ever it puts wallpaper. I was playing around with desktop themes and my wallpaper is not listed anywhere and I have no idea where to browse to.

I've tried searching and browsing for it but I can't find my wallpaper that I had before messing with themes. Windows 7 search just throws up a bunch of other junk I Am not looking for and makes it hard to just search in a general location, instead it has to give me every indexed image file on my pc. It's like whittling a tree into a toothpick to find what I'm looking for.

What is the name of the file that gets set as wallpaper when you right click "Set image as desktop background" and where does it go?

Desktop generally refers the Windows Desktop. Are you talking about Themes and Personas for you Firefox Browser?

Themes and Personas (light-weight Themes) that you download/install are in Tools > Add-ons > Themes See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+themes+with+Firefox

Windows desktop themes not Firefox themes.

I used Firefox to install a Windows desktop background from an image I found on the web. Now I cannot locate the file that was my previous desktop wallpaper. I found the image on the web and I do not remember where.

I just need the name of the file that Firefox set as wallpaper and the path to it's location.

You do not set your Desktop wallpaper using Firefox. You can download an image with Firefox that you want to use as your Desktop wallpaper. But you set your Desktop wallpaper using Windows functions.

You did not look at the link that I provided above ( http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/281-desktop-background-change.html ); it tells you how to set the wallpaper and, when following the instructions given there, will probably even tell you or will highlight which image is currently set as the wallpaper.

Second opinion anyone?

That was it. Thanks.

Windows 7 search really sucks. It should have found that file when I searched for .bmp files.
