I've run into security issue that is concerning me. I've been using the portable version, (portableapps.com), Thunderbird in windows. Everything is working fine. Can send\receive e-mails fine - no issues on multiple hotmail accounts! Everything was great. Yesterday I used my browser to log into one of my hotmail accounts and change the password. The next time I fired up Thunderbird... I noticed that I was still able to send\receive e-mails even though I had not updated my password for the hotmail account in Thunderbird! I verified the issue in MX Linux 19. This is very concerning. Should I not see an error in Thunderbird until I update the password?? That's what I would expect. An I missing something?? Please help.

Hi Normally yes, changing the password for the Hotmail account should absolutely block Tbird until it was given the new password. Is it possible the Hotmail is linked/connected/forwarding with a different account that is still open to Thunderbird? Agnes
