I am dislexic and sometime mis-type the destination domain address. Can I get Thunderbird to check the domain exists before sending it to the mail server? I can't find an addon to do this. Sometimes there is a considerable wait before I get an error message back.

Does this help?

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/check-before-sending-email/

It doesn't validate domains, but it does offer a chance to check for typos before sending.

My problem is dyslexia e.g. I did not spot that I had typed "Scotiish" for "Scottish" and it was about an hour before I got an error back from my mailserver. I know I could copy and paste in to a script that does and nslookup. But it would be nice if I could just click a button in Thunderbird.
