hi,

everytime I access youtube, and after starting to play a video, firefox hangs and ans stop working and I need to open task manager to close the process.

I tried also with internet explorer and I happens the same but I get a script error, but with firefox no errors displayed, just hangs in the very beginning of any youtube video playing.

please, any help will be great.

this started 2 days ago, before was just normal.

I have the last firefox version, plus I run all virus scans and malware scans and nothing. I have the last java and flash updates but still the same :(

thank you so much

Make sure that you allow the plugin-container in the firewall.

Hi,

Please try disabling the hardware acceleration of Adobe Flash, if it is enabled. Right-click on a video, click the icon on the bottom left and uncheck Enable hardware acceleration.

If you have the Ask toolbar installed on your computer (see add-ons/plugins manager in Firefox and program manager in Win 7), remove it. It is known to be buggy (freezing, crashing) with Flash animations in Firefox.

sorry, none of this answers solved the problem, still hanging when playing youtube videos.

if I play internet videos from other places works fine, but from you tube doesn´t.

I´m really sad, but I thank you both for the answers.

kind regards

Remove Firefox cache and Flash cache from your computer. If that fails, try another FF profile: Windows+R > firefox.exe -P

hi friend, problem solved:

after seeing the link I altered some firefox config setings:

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled;false (true by definition) dom.ipc.plugins.processLaunchTimeoutSecs;1 (45 by definition) dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs;1 (45 by definition)

the link you provided was most helpfull and solved my problem.

I owe you one, thank you so much, you are the one ;)

my thanks as well to the other helpers.

my best regards
