I just downloaded and installed ver. 28.0

The "On" or "Open" icon (white dot) under the Firefox icon in my dock is gone yet Firefox is open and active.

How can I tell what applications are open if the "active" light under it isn't illuminated?

It is checked and all other "open" applications have the indicator light on... just not for Firefox

Remove the firefox icon from the Dock. Goto Application folder. Drag and drop the firefox icon to Dock.
