Firefox tabs not showing once a newer tab is opened
I have mac os x 10.6. Firefox 5.0.
It worked fine on the first day of ff5.0 update but now, if I open a new tab and click on the previous tab, it doesn't show the previous tab, it still shows whatever webpage that is loaded in the new tab but the actual previous tab up top shows that it is now selected. If you try and scroll down on that webpage its really slow but if you go back to the new tab, it scrolls normal speed.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
- Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in Safe mode:
- Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

Champion! I wont forget that one.. The problematic add-on was tile tabs 4.10..
It was working fine the other day and now it's just stopped. Shame, it was a good add-on for what I needed.
Thanks! I really appreciate the help.
You're welcome
There is a Review on the Add-ons page of Tile Tabs that mentions this issue.
The Tile Tabs Add-on was the culprit of my problem as well! I spent so much time uninstalling and reinstalling and upgrading to Firefox 5 to no avail. As soon as I deleted the Tile Tabs Add-on, I could once again use my tabs. Thanks for the post!!
Tile Tabs 4.11 fixes the problem. I had to go to "all versions" or something similar
