You can probably solve that problem by eliminating google analytics which is what Google uses to dispense advertising, and it will certainly speed up loading of web pages, since the ads often take up several times more bytes than the content of what you want to see.
Install the "Adblock Plus" extension and at least "Easylist" subscription as ADP will do nothing without filters. That in itself will not eliminate google analytics but it will reduce a lot of the damage and give you breathing room. It would also be wise to also install a "hosts" file as well, it won't be as easy as installing an extension but the instructions should get you through -- don't install both at the same time, you need to know what to work on if causes a problem. It is ADP that is going to help you the most in Firefox at blocking sds and removing styles sheets and javascript used strictly for ads.
A nice feature of Adblock Plus filters is that each subscription, and your own additions are maintained separately. Another is that you can bring up a "blockable items" report to see what can be blocked as well as what is blocked, and you can see the specific filter that is blocking an item and disable or enable it.
Additional information can be found in the following article, most of the links are at the bottom of the page to eliminate duplication of links.
I installed adblock plus and fanboys list a few days ago, no help.
added the hosts file fix a few days ago also, no help.
