Firefox isn't loading any page and gives me a crash report after I close it.
My computer was infected by malware and firefox wouldn't load any web page after that. I cleaned the malware and updated firefox and windows and it worked again. But recently, I had to update Internet download manager to integrate it to the lastest version of firefox. After that, I got the same problem I had before (pages won't load) and this time I get a crash report everytime I close FF (even when I close it using the power button in the 3 bar menu) ... Here's the stuff I tried: - Scanning for malware using malwarebytes anti-malware and super antispyware. (only a few minor problems that were fixed) - Reinstalling FF. - I allowed FF in the firewall settings - deactivated javascript in FF - Entered in safe mode - the manipulation called in the DNS prefetching of this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can#w_dns-prefetching - disabled IPv6 - fixed registry errors using CCleaner - I ran this command in admin mode and restarted: netsh winsock reset
Basically, you can see that I've tried a bunch of different stuff but nothing works. Also I have to mention that: - Other browsers are working. - I can open offline HTML pages that are on my computer using FF.
And here are some crash reports I had recently:
From today (the same error I think)

hi, can you please see if uninstalling firefox 44 first and then installing the 64bit version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ does solve this issue for you?
No, this didn't solve the problem. Still got the loading wheel icon turning and a blank page and the crash report when I close FF.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

None of that resolved my problems (both the crashig and the not loading pages)
