Got virus in internet explorer,(window 7) I can't hook into any wireless connections. I figured that if I have Firefox then I can connect to a wireless hot spot.

First, have your computer cleaned of virus and mal-ware. Many local public libraries have computers with internet access. Buy a thumb drive. At the library enter Mozilla.org, when you get to the site, select to download the full installer. While you are there, download several of the listed programs below.

Some good news, Microsoft has updates for Internet Explorer.

Good Luck

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
