Hi, I have Yahoo mail and I use Firefox. I'm just wondering how opening attachments works with Yahoo mail. Today I opened an attachment and it gave a preview of what the attachment was. Does this preview mean that the attachment has downloaded onto my computer or am I viewing it through a browser on the Yahoo server? I'm worried about downloading viruses!

The preview would not be downloaded to your computer directly however, you could still contract a virus. You could download a year of Norton anti-virus for $50 as well as a download free trials.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I have Bitdefender so I'm not going to buy more anti virus but I am interested to know how opening the preview could still make my laptop contract a virus?
