The whole window is black save for the top margin where the address bar is. That is just clear. It doesn't show anything except for the min/max window and close buttons. When I right click on the top margin it's just a black box. I can still hover my mouse around and click on things when the hand shows up and the page loads, but it's just white and black. I already uninstalled it and reinstalled but that didn't help. To clarify, there is no address bar, no Help, Tools, File etc. Just darkness...

You can try to toggle the layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled pref to false on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
