my firefox icon has disappeared. How can I get it back with bookmarks?

Last night I accidently got rid of the firefox icon on my dashboard; it went up in smoke (MAC visual). This morning I was able to open firefox from Applications, but apparently it is an older version. While I am able to bookmark pages, all my previous bookmarks have disappeared! Help!

First, open your computers programs folder. Use the search and look for Firefox. If you find more than one, you should Download Firefox Full Installer For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then remove all Firefox and Mozilla folders from the computer.

Uninstall Firefox from your computer {web link}

After, reboot the computer. Then run the full installer.
