Second thing is that I really like and use regularily this feature ctrl+f which opens the search bar. Could a second ctrl+f close it after I'm done?

Right-click on any open tab and choose "Reload all tabs"

To close the search bar, simply press the escape key (if cursor is blinking in the search field).
