I'm involved in a message thread with '=?' in the subject, and I've run tests with a friend using 'Test =? Test' as the subject. In some cases, depending on the remote UA, Tbird displays this subject as a very long string of ZZZZZZ...

Outlook as the remote UA seem to be problematic, for example.

Hacking the mail file to remove the '?' character fixes the problem. Looks as if some code is treating the subject as more than just text... Screenshot attached (trimmed for privacy reasons). Running Tbird 31.7.0
