how to set up write e mails in thunderbird.

Hi, used thunderbird before, I can have contacts and write e-mails within thunderfbird, now, got a used computer, downloaded thunderbird, but, couls not find contacts section, and write section, please help, thanks.

I suspect that you have no toolbar and no menu. You may find what you wnat under the toher new menu,which is a button with three bars, as used in google chrome and many android apps.

Right-click at the top and you should be able to provoke a pop-up menu where you can select the missing toolbar and menu bar.
