Our web site, writen in ASP.Net, uses various pop up windows to prompt the user for specific actions. These work FINE in all browsers for all customers across the world, except this new Firefox 47 upgrade.

Customers starting calling today because they can't use our application with Firefox. We tested with Firefox 43 and 44 and both versions worked fine, but once we updated to Firefox 47, the application no longer functioned.

I will post a note to our customer users telling them to avoid using Firefox 47 until this is resolved.

Melanierogers,

We could use some info on what actions and any plugins you are using. Have you or any customers tried any of these things?

  • restarting firefox in 'safe-mode'
  • Specified what OS(es) / platforms this behaviour is exhibited?

i.e. Windows 8/10 on Windows Phone vs. Android 5.x / 6.x on Samsung models .....

  • Have you checked for a web compat issue?

Any of these questions being answered would help immensely

Hi melanierogers, do you have a publicly accessible page demonstrating this problem that you could link to?

What kind of errors are you (or your customers) observing? Firefox developers cannot fix the issue without knowing any specific details.
