My university will be closing my student email account as I have just graduated. I have archived all of my student emails within Thunderbird, but would like to be able to return to them for future reference. When the account is closed, will I still be able to view the archived emails?

Chosen solution

Move them to Local Folders in Thunderbird. Then they are yours to keep, stored on your own hard disk.

The "Archives" folders in Thunderbird are by default stored along with other account data and may actually still be on your server, which is not useful to you.
