NO available authentication [R0107004] works. can't send/receive. I can send/receive on webmail NOT with Thunderbird. servers suggested come up invalid
This is the message I get with roadrunner servers.
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: From address must match authentication [R0107004]. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."
No available choices of "Authentication Method" in Thunderbird has worked.
No suggestions given for changing servers has worked (mail.brighthouse.com and mail.twc.com). No suggestions for different ports has worked. Messages say they are invalid.
I can't send or receive in Thunderbird but can on webmail. I downloaded Thunderbird again thinking there would be changes to the program with no success. This is the first time the program seems to have fallen apart. I DID NOT make any changes to the program at all before the problems started and changing servers has not worked.
I like the program and I hope I can use it again with your help. I am using a different email address now for this problem as this website will not accept my password even when I change it !!
Chosen solution
Much as folk think mail settings are a lottery and "Just try this" is the way to go. It is not.
SO lets start with some concrete settings. Those published by TWC. See https://www.timewarnercable.com/en/support/faqs/faqs-internet/e-mailacco/incoming-outgoing-server-addresses.html
Then once you have made the changes please add the troubleshooting information to your post To find the Troubleshooting information:
- Open Help (or click on three-line-icon and select Help)
- Choose Troubleshooting Information
- Use the button Copy to clipboard to select all. Do not check box "Include account names"!
- Paste this in your post.
