Greetings, I have an HP Deskjet 1000 printer, when I attempt to " Print " I get an error 4983698. Printer wont print entire page. All printer drivers and up dates are up to date. Don't know much about computers or their workings but I tried the suggestions here.

I made sure the shrink to fit was checked and the Portrait was checked off but was unable to go any further on the page.

I tried the about:config and did find the Print_ Printer section BUT there was over a dozen subjects under that HP device.

Any ideas on why my printer wont print an entire page will be of great help !!

Much obliged, Robert

See this - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox - to learn about troubleshooting and fixing printer problems in Firefox; but that error message doesn't look like it is from Firefox.

Did you check with HP to learn what that error 4983698 code means?

Mozilla uses 3 digit error codes - I don't think I have ever seen any more than a 3 digit code from any Mozilla program.

No fix yet, HP says my ink has gone beyond expiration date and is causing issues with complete printing. That number, 4983698 is the number that Firefox briefly indicates but it goes away, right away.

Ill wait till I get the new ink cartridges and give it another try. Thanks for the reply the-edmeister-3
