Each folder comes up with diagonal pink stripes, and I must click on each folder each time Thunderbird is brought up, go to properties and repair the folder to see posts, or folder contents. Very annoying.

Chosen solution

Check your QuickFilter Bar. I suspect it's set to show only some category of messages and the pink stripes are there to point out that there are no messages matching the current QuickFilter Bar settings.

I would like to see an image of these stripes.

Please provide a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. This will help us to visualize the problem.

Thank you!

That was the problem! I must have inadvertently clicked on the quick filter at some point. Thank you very much for the simple solution.
