I have a lot of bookmarks; I added them by clicking the little star. When they upgraded my computer to Windows 10, I no longer have a little star. Is there a way to find it and restore it?

There are no dots in the address bar. It shows the address, then has a reload button on the far right. Then there's a Search box, and then a Downloads arrow, an AdRemover icon, an Adobe icon to convert the page to PDF, and then a button to Show Sidebars. Last is the three bars icon to open the menu. No dots.

In Firefox 52 ESR you would normally see the combined Star and "Show your bookmarks" icon on the Navigation Toolbar.

Make sure toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible. Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.

  • Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
  • "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
  • View -> Toolbars
    *you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window to the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.
