Keyboard shortcut for opening a new tab in a container?

Whenever i use ctrl-T to open a new tab, it's container-less by default. The only way to switch containers is to long-click the NewTab button in the tab bar, and selecting a container. This is prohibitively cumbersome to do.

I love containers, but they need some shortcut love.

Hi foodi, do you use the Firefox Multi-Account Containers extension? It has this odd keyboard shortcut:

Ctrl + .

When I check its support site, there are a number of keyboard-related issues open. You can review them and chime in, or submit a new one, here:

Oh nice!

I'll definitely chime in on that page.

That shortcut don't work for me, tho. I tried both keyboard "." and numberpad "."

I'm not sure exactly why it doesn't work. I'll poke around some more....

Thanks!

You can consider to set this pref to 1 on the about:config page to make the container menu appear immediately if you click the plus button.

Nice. That's a step in the right direction, certainly. Thank you!
