When saving a Keyword, is it mandatory to add a "," at the end for the word to save? FF 63.0.3 example:

      Bookmarks> Properties> Keyword:

"earth" (Not saving) "earth," (is saving)

If the 'earth' keyword isn't accepted then it is possible that this keyword is currently in use. If that is the case then Firefox refuses to use it another time.

Does typing the 'earth' keyword in the location bar give any results?

Because current Firefox releases hide the keyword column in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) it is harder to troubleshoot issues with keywords.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

  • use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
