I have a password for one of my email accounts that is 64 characters long. Thunderbird stops accepting input in the password field at 61 characters. Is there any way to remedy this? I'd like to keep my password as something secure that I can remember, and I don't really want to have to find a new email client since I've been using thunderbird for about a decade and love it.

yeah, if it is limited I see nothing that might increase that limit anywhere in the near future.

Did you file a bug asking for the limit to be increased? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org
