Upgrading to newer version without overwritting my files
Hello On Computer 1 I have TB File Version 68.3.0.72.88 Product Version 68.3.1 installed with a active profile. On Computer 2 I also have TB installed and via network it access the same profile as on Computer 1 and has been working fine. I just launched TB on Computer 2 and it updated to File Version 68.4.2.7327 Product Version 68.4.2 and is working fine on Computer 2. But now when I launch TB on Computer 1 get attached error. I need to be able to access this profile from Computer 1. What is the best way to upgrade TB on computer 1 without it changing anything on my settings or profile. Thank you for your help.

Download and run the full 68.4.2 installer on Computer 1. The error is from trying to open a profile with 68.3, that has previously been opened with 68.4.2.

Make sure you get the 32 or 64 bit version according to what's already installed.
Thanks for your reply. I was going to do that but I feared it would overwrite my current settings and profile. Just to confirm it will not?
Uninstalling or reinstalling the program doesn't affect the data in your profile folder, which is stored in a different location. You can just run the 68.4.2 installer (same 32 or 64 bit) over the existing 68.3 setup.
If you still get the error message after updating everything to the same version, click Exit, and start Profile Manager: Windowskey+R, type thunderbird.exe -p then select the profile, OK.
