Embedded maps not loading for certain websites

I've recently come across two websites that use embedded maps, where the maps are not loading at all. (but maps.google.com is working just fine)

There are two embedded maps on here that don't load:
   https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html
And the main map on here won't load, and its my first time using this site:
   https://www.zumper.com/apartments-for-rent/new-york-ny

Here's what I've tried in solving this issue:

 - Turned off the Enhanced Tracking Protection for each of these sites
 - Disabled all of my extensions and restarted FF
 - Started FF in Safe Mode
But none of these fixed the issue. The only thing that works so far is to use a brand new FF profile, and then the embedded maps will load on these sites.
So, why doesn't Safe Mode work? What is it about my main profile that is causing the maps not to load?
Btw, I'd prefer not to rebuild my profile from scratch, as it would take lots and lots of time to get everything set back up again in the new profile.
Thanks, Darren

Chosen solution

I did find out what was causing this problem. By using process of elimination, I removed different chunks of my prefs.js file and then tested the problem sites, until they started working.

It turns out that I had webgl.disabled set to true, to protect against fingerprinting techniques. Once I set that back to default (false) then the mapbox related stuff started working.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Yes, that's how I started FF in Safe Mode, and the problem was still there.

Also, I just realized that both of those pages use mapbox for their embedded maps, so the issue may somehow be specific to that provider.

And after going directly to their site (https://www.mapbox.com/navigation/) and trying out their pizza delivery demo, the map and nav-animation don't load, even from Safe Mode. But it does load fine in a fresh FF profile.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Okay, so I started my PC in safe mode, and then also started FF in safe mode, and the problem is still there.

That leaves your ISP, or the website itself.

Please note that these problem websites do work in FF if I use a fresh profile, so I'd say there would be no problem with the ISP or website itself. I'm trying to figure out why they don't work in my main profile, even when everything that can be disabled is disabled.
