Problem with location and logging in th Amazon
I am continuously being given prices and websites in the UK and locked our of some webites due to location issues. How can I correct. Also, when trying to access Amazon from Firefox, a series of dots appears in the password line which I am unable to remove and insert my password. this happens only in firefox and not google chrome so it is a firefox problem. How can I fix it?

. . . a series of dots appears in the password line
Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?
While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}
Are you using a VPN or proxy ?
You can check the connection settings.
- Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":
You can use websites like these to see how your location is reported via a reverse DNS look up of your IP:
Are you unable to remove this password or type in the input field ?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

You can also check for issues caused by your AVG Antivirus security software. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
