Computer got hacked. Took to Geek Squad to make sure no further hacking material left on computer. Geek squad backed everything up and supposedly is on the computer in Geek Backup folder. Squad cleaned computer and put everything back, except the address book (contacts) and my wife and I personal folders all disappeared and they are unable to find them. It looks like they just reinstalled Thunderbird and Firefox because I had to do some set up work to get them to work. Anybody know the name of the file that these items may be found, from being a back up system. I would do a search for the file and see what happens. Thank all of you.

Please read the article about Thunderbird Profile - the folder system where all Thunderbird data is stored. Article profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data - especially the parts on restoring a backup and restoring to a different location.
